CNNP

Yunnan Branch China Import Export Tea has been in existence since 1944 and is the owner of Zhong Cha brand. Before 1990, Puer products from any factory had to use this brand. Even the wrappers were identical except for the color, and the only way to differentiate the maker was by checking the Nei Fei.  CNNP (中茶) : CNNP (China National Native Produce & Animal By-Products Import & Export Company) was the original state-run enterprise that managed all of the major tea factories in Yunnan, including Menghai, Xiaguan, Kunming, among others. Most of these were privatized in the 1980s and 1990s, but CNNP runs under the label 'China tea' and still uses the original red and green '中茶' logo.
